Adam will be running a limited number of writing retreats from his home in Albany, Western Australia, beginning in 2020. The retreats provide participants with food, accommodation as well as instructional classes to help aspiring writers develop their craft and eventually find a publisher.

Adam currently teaches both fiction and non-fiction writing at the University of Western Australia and the retreats will give participants the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the writing process and learn from published authors. The retreats are lead by Adam and fellow Albany author and Miles Franklin short-lister, Jon Doust. Jon's latest novel Return Ticket, is now released through Fremantle Press.
